  • Support grants for young sports persons, under 17 years, who have a talent and ability to perform at County level and beyond.
  • Offer support and technical advice to members drawing on the expertise of the Committee. Subjects ranging from information on other grants available, planning advice, machinery and maintenance advice, insurance queries, contact details for other organisations.

At what cost does the LPFA offer all this:

New Secretary for the LPFA

Chair of the LPFA, Nora Ward, " I would like to welcome and introduce to readers Gill Mason, who is the newly appointed Secretary for the Lancashire Playing Fields.

Gill began on at the beginning of September and jumped straight into her first meeting at the end of September.

Gill is a Parish Council Clerk and has a background in finance and marketing. I am looking forward to working with Gill to progress the LPFA further.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our retiring Secretary, Debra Platt.

Debra has been at the helm of the LPFA since 2005 and seen it through a small reincarnation, instigating new measures and initiatives, such as this newsletter, the website and raising the profile and subscription revenues of the Association.

Debra was elected in May this year as a Councillor and felt she needed to free up some time for her new duties.

Thank you Debra, and good luck. "

Gill Mason, Secretary of the LPFA
